A Sunday Well Spent

Cigars, Football & a Little Halloween Magic

The Deliberate Detour | Canton, Georgia

A sunny October Sunday.
A new place to discover.
Football on the television.
A patio made for lingering.

At Canton Cigar Company, inside the historic Mill on Etowah, we found the perfect place to slow down and enjoy the afternoon.

Exposed brick.
Leather chairs.
Warm lighting.
Industrial charm.
And a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.

Tom’s plan?

Take it outside.

So we settled onto the patio, enjoyed the beautiful fall weather, watched football, and let the afternoon unfold without a schedule.

Meanwhile, the rest of The Mill was buzzing with Halloween excitement during the annual Jack O’ Lantern Jamboree.

Our quiet little corner of the day was surrounded by pumpkins, festivities, and plenty of seasonal energy—a pretty perfect contrast.

Eventually, we grabbed a pizza and continued our Sunday adventure.

Nothing fancy.
Nothing complicated.
Just a really enjoyable afternoon.

Sometimes the best detours don’t require a long drive or an elaborate itinerary.

Sometimes all you need is:

A sunny Sunday.
A football game.
A comfortable patio.
And the decision to finally try somewhere new.

And sometimes, that’s more than enough.

Travel discerningly. Love deeply. Live deliberately.

The Deliberate Detour
Because the best destinations are the ones we choose deliberately.
